Cultural Experiences

The goal of the Waco Chapter’s cultural enrichment is to create an environment that recognizes and appreciates the differences in each other and the world. Our chapter strives to celebrate our community — and beyond — with exposure to culturally diverse peoples and events, such as the popular Waco Cultural Arts Festival. This broadens perspective, promotes awareness and teaches cultural sensitivity. Other cultural experiences in which Waco Chapter members engage include:

Art Camp through the Waco Art Center
Dance lessons from other cultures such as Bollywood
Holiday-themed stage shows such as Royce Montgomery’s Christmas Show
Museums or gallery showings
Dance performances and musicals, such as Waco High’s production of “She Loves Me,” and Midway High School’s “Gotta Sing Gotta Dance”
The Waco Symphony
Plays at The Waco Civic Theatre

Etiquette is built into our cultural enrichment program and put into practice at the mother-daughter tea and include handwritten, mailed letters, graciousness, self-assuredness in social settings, development of personal and community connections, good manners and respect for others.
