Community Service

Each NCL, Inc. Chapter promotes social awareness by considering the local community’s needs and selecting appropriate non-profit organizations to serve.¬† Each Chapter then supports its philanthropic service partners through different volunteer activities.¬†Baking cookies and sweet treats, helping build homes for deserving individuals, working at a local abuse shelter’s thrift shop, manning water stations at area marathons and races, providing pet food to local elderly residents, delivering meals, helping stock the shelves of a local food pantry, providing child care and mentoring to children in deep pockets of poverty, serving as field trip chaperones to local area attractions and providing someone to just listen are just a few of the activities in which NCL Waco members find themselves involved. Philanthropies supported by our Chapter include:

The American Cancer Society, Art Center of Waco, Caritas, Compassion Ministries, Family Abuse Center, Habitat for Humanity, Meals and Wheels, Miracle Match Marathon, Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, Talitha Koum and the Waco Cultural Arts Fest. Additionally, the Waco Chapter provides volunteer help for additional charitable organizations through our Lend a Hand program.
